Welcome to Park City
Pretty and historic mining town located in southeastern Utah
Park City is a town in Wasatch County located southeast of Salt Lake City. The town is the largest settlement and the seat of Summit County. The town is built on the site of the former placer-mining village of Park City, which grew rapidly during the silver-mining boom of the late 19th century to become one of the largest silver-mining towns in the United States.
Park City was founded in 1884 by Samuel Snyder, Heber C. Kimball, and Jedediah Grant and was originally named "Parley's Park City." The town's name was shortened to "Park City" upon incorporation. It wasn't until the 1960s that Park City began to experience a resurgence with the rise of the skiing and tourist economy. Today, Park City is home to two world-class resorts, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain, and serves as a popular tourist destination for skiers and snowboarders worldwide.
